Who Are We?

Pathway Pavers is a community organization dedicated to empowering Black high school students through career exploration and leadership development. We provide engaging programming and workshops that equip students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to pursue their aspirations.

Our initiative offers interactive workshops on career decision-making, insightful talks from professionals across diverse fields, employability training, and job shadowing opportunities that give students real-world experience. We also connect youth with valuable resources and programs that celebrate and support Black excellence.

To expand our reach and impact, we collaborate with establishments such as school boards and community organizations to deliver programming that inspires the next generation of leaders. Through mentorship, hands-on learning, and access to supportive networks, Pathway Pavers empowers Black youth to explore diverse career pathways and take charge of their futures.

Who We Serve

At Pathway Pavers, we are committed to empowering Black youth across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). Our programs are designed for young people aged 13-19, particularly high school students, as they navigate their educational and career pathways.

We strive to support youth from diverse backgrounds, including those from low-income households, students at risk of dropping out, individuals with learning disabilities, and those seeking guidance in identifying the right career path. Through mentorship, access to resources, and personalized support, we equip these young people with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to excel in school, pursue their aspirations, and build successful futures.

Organization interested in partnering with Pathway Pavers to deliver an event to my community

At Pathway Pavers, we believe that collaboration is key to creating meaningful opportunities for Black youth. We actively partner with school boards, community organizations, and businesses to deliver impactful programming that equips young people with the skills, knowledge, and experiences they need to succeed.

One of our past collaborations includes Beyond the Horizon, a career exploration event we co-hosted with the York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB). This event brought together Black high school students to engage with professionals from various fields, participate in interactive workshops, and gain valuable insights into different career pathways. Through discussions, mentorship, and hands-on activities, students left feeling inspired and empowered to take charge of their futures.
